I’m waking up
without a sound
from the world outside the window blinds in this curled up town
Breathing in
I taste it on my tongue
the new sun brewing on the horizon
And the world lights up and comes back to life
as I pour my cup and open my eyes
The best part of waking up
is Folgers in your cup.
